Aus einer guten Idee ein gutes Geschäft zu machen – dabei helfen die Beratungsangebote, Netzwerke, Veranstaltungen und Förderprogramm der Mannheimer Wirtschaftsförderung. Der neue Film „Mannheim. Die Gründungsstadt“ über junge Firmen in Mannheim will dieses Angebot bei potentiellen Existenzgründungen noch bekannter machen, Hürden abbauen und zum Gespräch einladen.
Sieer Angar, Dr. Ulrike Kornmesser und Kathrin Höfer, Dr. Jens Arndt und Dr. Michael Geisser, Süleyman Acar und Alexandra Maus: Junge Existenzgründerinnen und -gründer erzählen in Interviews offen und ganz persönlich von ihren Anfängen und der Unterstützung, die sie von der Wirtschaftsförderung erhalten haben. Zwischen 2003 und 2011 gegründet, zeigen ihre Unternehmen ein breites Spektrum: vom medizintechnischen Unternehmen bis zur Firma, die Gewinnspiele auf Facebook anbietet.
„Mit 4.969 Neugründungen im Jahr 2010 ist Mannheim Gründungsstadt Nummer 1 in Baden-Württemberg und somit bereits im fünften Jahr in Folge Spitzenreiter im landesweiten Städtevergleich“, erklärt Wirtschaftsbürgermeister Michael Grötsch. „Der Film soll dazu beitragen, noch mehr Menschen mit guten Ideen Mut zu machen, sich von der Wirtschaftsförderung beraten zu lassen. Egal um welches Thema es sich handelt: Das Existenzgründungsteam hat Antworten auf alle Fragen.“
Wichtig für den Start und Firmensitz aller Interviewten sind die Mannheimer Gründungszentren. Sie bieten günstige Mietverhältnisse und kurze Kündigungsfristen, flexible Büros sowie Seminar- und Besprechungsräume. Auch diese Gründungszentren werden im Film vorgestellt – und zeigen dem Neuling im Gründungsgeschäft damit gleich sein künftiges Büro und seine künftigen Nachbarn. Die im Film gezeigten Existenzgründungszentren Musikpark Mannheim, das MAFINEX-Technologiezentrum und das Deutsch-Türkische Wirtschaftszentrum dtw sind unter dem Dach der mg: mannheimer gründungszentren gmbh zusammengeschlossen. Weitere Initiativen und Zentren wie zum Beispiel das ebenfalls im Film dargestellte Zentrum gig 7, ein Gründungszentrum speziell für Frauen, sind über den Verbund „Start im Quadrat“ eng miteinander vernetzt.
