Zur MEIER Langen Nacht der Museen am 21. April 2012 in Mannheim, Heidelberg und Ludwigshafen sind die Tickets im Vorverkauf neben den bekannten Vorverkaufsstellen und im Internet ab dem 1. April auch an allen DB Automaten und DB Reisezentren erhältlich. Die im Vorverkauf erworbenen Tickets berechtigen zur freien Fahrt in den Bussen und Bahnen im gesamten Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Neckar (VRN) am 21. April bis 12 Uhr des folgenden Tages.
Auch in diesem Jahr ermöglicht das zusätzliche Zug- und Busangebot mit mehr als 200 Verbindungen die bequeme An- und Abreise zu den fast 100 Stationen der verschiedensten Kunst- und Kultureinrichtungen, an denen sich die über 1000 Künstler und Aktiven in dieser Nacht mit unterschiedlichsten Inszenierungen präsentieren.
Neben dem bewährten „Lange Nacht Express“ der S-Bahn Rhein-Neckar, mit dem die Besucher zwischen Heidelberg, Mannheim und Ludwigshafen unterwegs sind, verkehren bis zum Veranstaltungsende gegen 2.00 Uhr eigens eingerichtete Museumslinien in einem dichten Takt.
Aufgrund der Zusammenarbeit des Verkehrsverbundes Rhein-Neckar (VRN) mit der Nahverkehrsgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg (NVBW), dem Zweckverband Schienenpersonennahverkehr Rheinland-Pfalz Süd, der S-Bahn RheinNeckar, der Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (RNV), Busverkehr Rhein-Neckar und der Verkehrsgesellschaft Werner können alle Besucher, die im Besitz eines Tickets für die Lange Nacht sind, das gesamte Streckennetz (Bus und Schiene) im Bereich des VRN zur Hin- und Rückfahrt kostenlos nutzen. Auf den DB- bzw. S-Bahn-Strecken von bzw. nach Karlsruhe gilt das Ticket auch über das Verbundgebiet des VRN hinaus.
Zusätzlich zum regulären Fahrplan sind ab den Hauptbahnhöfen in Mannheim und Heidelberg bzw. Ludwigshafen (Hbf/Mitte) bis spät in die Nacht Sonderzüge, Straßenbahnen und Busse im Einsatz. Bahn- und Busverbindungen können dem Programm-Booklet und einem gesonderten Fahrplanfaltblatt zur Langen Nacht entnommen werden. Einen individuellen Fahrplan erhält man mit Hilfe der Fahrplanauskunft unter www.vrn.de.
Die Tickets für die Lange Nacht der Museen sind zum Preis von 14 Euro im Vorverkauf (zzgl. Gebühr) an allen bekannten Vorverkaufstellen und den teilnehmenden Häusern sowie im Internet erhältlich und berechtigen neben der An- und Abreise mit Bus und Bahn zum Besuch der verschiedenen Museen und kulturellen Veranstaltungen. Jeder Erwachsene kann ein Kind bis 14 Jahre kostenlos mitnehmen. Zusätzliche Kindertickets kosten 5 Euro im Vorverkauf. Kinder unter 6 Jahren haben freien Eintritt
Ab dem 1. April sind die Tickets im Vorverkauf auch an allen DB-Automaten und DB-Reisezentren erhältlich. Über dieses Ticket-System werden nur Erwachsenen-Tickets verkauft.
Mit dem Ticket kann man zur Hin- und Rückfahrt die Busse, Straßenbahnen und freigegebenen Züge (bei der DB: RE, RB und S-Bahn, jeweils 2. Klasse) im gesamten Gebiet des VRN und darüber hinaus bis Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof sowie alle Lange Nacht Sonderlinien kostenlos nutzen.
